Darryl Richardson, better known as Lil Scrappy, He was born on January 20th 1984. He is a rapper who was discovered by mega-producer and performer (as well as the self-proclaimed "King of Crunk") Lil Jon while performing at a school concert in his hometown of Atlanta. Along with labelmates Trillville, Lil Scrappy was one of the first signings to Lil Jon's BME Recordings.

Lil Scrappy built a strong reputation and eager following throughout the southeast through mixtapes and the street anthem of 2003 "Head Bussa." During this time, Lil Jon inked a deal to bring his BME Recordings to Warner Bros. Records as a joint venture partnership. With Lil Jon's signature production, "Head Bussa" made a strong statement within the radio community, reaching #73 on the Billboard r&b and hip hop chart.

Lil Scrappy released a dual EP with labelmates Trillville entitled The King of Crunk & BME Recordings Present: Lil Scrappy and Trillville in February 2004. The album featured production by Lil Jon. Lil Scrappy and Trillville had ten tracks each appear on this album.

Lil Scrappy's second single and most commercially successful single to date, "No Problem," reached the top 30 of the Billboard 100 and was top 10 on the r&b and rap charts. Thanks to the success of "No Problem" and Trillville's hits "Some Cut" and "Neva Eva," the joint album reached #3 on the r&b chart and #12 on the Billboard 200 in 2004.

Lil Jon invited Lil Scrappy to participate on the track "What U Gonna Do" appearing on Lil Jon's 2004 album Crunk Juice. "What U Gonna Do" was released as a single reaching #20 in the US in late December 2004 and reaching #30 in the UK in February 2005.

Lil Scrappy is currently working on an album "Born To Die, Bred To Live" which will be released in 2005 on BME Recordings/Reprise Records. He is recording several tracks on a studio tour bus during the Anger Management tour, of which he is a featured guest performer.

After months of rumours of Lil Scrappy going to G-Unit Records and leaving BME is false. G-Unit's newest "half-member" (BME Recordings recently agreed to a deal with G-Unit where both will cross-promote selected BME and G-Unit artists, with the first being Lil Scrappy). Thus he has appeared on many DJ Whoo Kid mixtapes such as "The Wire" in 2005 on a track called Big Scooby and Lil Scrappy with Snoop Dogg and on "G-unit Radio pt.15"'s G-Unit Click (Stack That Paper) the same year.
